I have been a personal trainer for over a year now at the Power Shack Gym.  I've been involved with fitness my entire life, whether it's training for a bodybuilding show, or working out on a daily basis.

I base my workouts on functional and core training.  I focus on exercises that can benefit you in everyday life and at the same time, give the physique that you've always wanted, for the most part I focus on using free weights as much as possible so that not matter what exercise it is you're doing, it will benefit the mid-section.

YEARS TRAINING:

I have been involved in strength training for 20+ years. In high school and college I competed in bench press competitions. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer for 7 years and Boot Camp instructor for about a year.


TRAINING PHILOSOPHIES:

Every client is different, so I utilize an individualized program to benefit each client. Core strength is vital. Proper form is more important than how much weight you lift. A program should be a balance between strength and cardio.

BS in Business Management from Youngstown State University.

Mark has been personal training people since 1979

EXPERIENCE:
Mark has been a competitor for five decades in four different sports. He has won awards in wrestling, Body Building competitions, and a triathlon. He has also competed in a marathon, half marathons, the Arnold Pump and run and other running events. Mark has also owned and managed the American Heartbeat Health Club and served as assistant wrestling coach at Heritage Middle School.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration; I.C.S. Fitness and Nutrition degree.
