Power Shack Fitness Centers invests many hours providing extensive initial training in customer service, membership programs, fitness programming and equipment use with our fitness staff. In addition to our initial training, regular training meetings are held by each facility and on a company-wide basis. We make sure that our fitness instructors have access to the most recent and up-to-date research and fitness information. Our fitness staff makes every effort to learn our members' names so you not only get a greeting and a smile when you come in the front door, but we plan to welcome and thank you by name!

Power Shack regularly solicits feedback from our members and guests to continue to improve our facilities and services. We also provide suggestion boxes and occasional surveys; we encourage our fitness instructors to sincerely listen to and write down any suggestions or concerns our members and guests have; we make many decisions based on this input. Equipment purchases, services and retail inventory are regularly influenced by what our staff and members recommend.

Healthy Tips

For every 100 calories of plain lettuce you eat, it takes your body 120 calories to burn it.  
 •Sugars are the first thing to be converted into fat if they are not used as energy. Be sure to check the sugar content on "fat-free" foods.
 •Be sure to drink at least one gallon of water a day. Fat cells contain 20% water and this will help in the fat burning process.
 •Avoid hunger by eating regularly (approximately 3 meals plus 2 snacks per day.) Never skip meals.
 •Participate in strength training at least 2-3 times per week.
